Public Information Meeting on County Review of Proposed Amendment to the Nisqually Sub-Area Plan Asphalt Recycling Policy (Policy E.5)
Public invited to attend to learn more about the project and the County’s review process

The Thurston County Resource Stewardship Department will hold a public information meeting on Thursday, July 27 at 5:30 p.m. to provide information regarding the County’s review of a proposed policy amendment for the Nisqually Sub-Area Plan asphalt recycling policy (Policy E.5).

What: Public Information Meeting on County Review of Proposed Amendment to the Nisqually Sub-Area Plan Asphalt Recycling Policy (Policy E.5).
When: 27, July 2017 at 5:30 p.m., or soon thereafter until 7:30 p.m.
Where: Meadows Elementary School, Gymnasium, 836 Deerbrush DR SE, Lacey, WA 98513

The meeting will address the proposed amendment to the Nisqually Sub-Area Plan asphalt recycling policy (Policy E.5) and provide the public with information regarding the scope of work and process for this project.

Background:

Item 11 on the “2017-18 OFFICIAL DOCKET OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS” seeks to amend policy E.5 of the Nisqually Sub-Area Plan to remove the current prohibition on the reprocessing (recycling) of asphalt within the Nisqually sub-area.


The public is invited to attend a public information meeting (open house) regarding the County’s review and consideration of a proposed policy amendment. Staff will give a short presentation at 6:00 p.m. and provide information regarding the scope of the review to be conducted, the process the project will follow, the project schedule, and the opportunities for public comment.
