Notice of the February 8, 2022 Special Election
A ballot will be mailed to all Thurston County voters residing in the participating jurisdictions:

Participating Jurisdictions:
  • Griffin School District No. 324; 
  • Olympia School District No. 111; 
  • Tenino School District No. 402
  • ;Tumwater School District No. 33.

Registration Deadlines:·       
  • Mon, Jan 31: Deadline to register or update current registration by online, mail or other remote means.
  • Tues, Feb 8: Deadline to register/change address in person at the Thurston County Elections Office.

Voter Registration Forms: Available at all Thurston County Timberland Libraries, city/town halls, schools, fire stations, and licensing agencies.

Accessible Voting Assistance is available at the Thurston County Elections Office (drive-through services available), beginning Jan. 21, M - F, 8 am - 4:30 pm and on Election Day, Feb. 8, 8 am - 8 pm, or call to arrange an appointment.

Logic and Accuracy Test: This test is open to the public and demonstrates the accuracy of tabulation equipment. This test will take place Mon, Jan 24 at 2:30 pm at the Ballot Processing Center.

Post-Election Random Audit: Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 9:00 am at the Ballot Processing Center. This test is open to the public and ensures the tabulation system is counting ballots accurately.

Post-Elections Risk Limiting Audit: This is a pilot test for the Risk Limiting Audit. This test is open to the public and demonstrates the accuracy of the election results. This test will take place Fri, Feb 11 at 9:00 am at the Ballot Processing Center.

Meetings to canvass ballots and finalize the election are open to the public. Meetings are held at the Thurston County Ballot Processing Center or via zoom on Thurs, Feb 17 at 3:30 pm and on Fri, Feb 18 at 1:00 pm. Contact our office for more information.
