Thurston County Elections Offering Observer Training ahead of August Primary Election

OLYMPIA – Thurston County Auditor's Elections Division is offering observer training for the August 2, 2022 Primary Election. The training will be held over Zoom on July 14, 2022 at 5:30 p.m.

Ballot processing is monitored on site by trained observers appointed by the Republican and Democratic parties and independent observers. We are committed to ensuring ballot processing is open and transparent. Observers can ask questions of full-time elections staff as long as it doesn't inhibit ballot processing.

To register, use this link:

Observer training covers election procedure and observer policy. Training is mandatory for observers appointed by their political party. However, the training is also open to the public.

Citizens with disabilities requiring special accommodation should contact Tillie Naputi-Pullar, 360.786.5408 or Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing: 711 Washington Relay.
