Notice of the August 2, 2022 Primary Election

A ballot will be mailed to all Thurston County voters with a current mailing address.

Registration Deadlines:

  • Mon, July 25: Deadline to register or update current registration by online, mail or other remote means.
  • Tues, August 2: Deadline to register/change address in person at the Thurston County Elections Office.

Voter Registration Forms: Available at all Thurston County Timberland Libraries, city/town halls, schools, fire stations, and licensing agencies.

Accessible Voting Assistance is available at the Thurston County Elections Office, 2400 Evergreen Park Dr SW, Olympia, beginning July 13, M - F, 8 am - 4:30 pm and on Election Day, August 2, 8 am - 8 pm or Lacey Timberland Library, 500 College St SE, Lacey, beginning July 25, M – F, 10 am – 4 pm and on Election Day 8 am – 8 pm, or call to arrange an appointment.

Post-Election Random Audit: This test is open to the public and ensures the tabulation system is counting ballots accurately, held Thurs, August 4 at 9:00 am at the Ballot Processing Center. Masks are required.

Post-Elections Risk Limiting Audit: This test is open to the public and demonstrates the accuracy of the election results, held Tue, August 9 at 9:00 am at the Ballot Processing Center. Masks are required.

Meetings to canvass ballots and finalize the election are open to the public. Meetings are held, Thurs, August 11 at 3:30 pm, Mon, August 15 at 3:30 pm, and Tue, August 16 at 1:00 pm at the Ballot Processing Center. Masks are required. Contact our office for more information.
