Thurston County Elections Offering Observer Training ahead of November General Election

OLYMPIA – Thurston County Auditor's Elections Division is offering observer training for the November 8, 2022 General Election. The training will be held over Zoom on October 13, 2022 at 5:30 p.m.
Ballot processing is monitored on site by trained observers appointed by the Republican and Democratic parties and independent observers. We are committed to ensuring ballot processing is open and transparent. Observers can ask questions of full-time elections staff as long as it doesn't inhibit ballot processing.

Interested parties can also contact Thurston County Elections at or 360.786.5408.
Observer training covers election procedure and observer policy. Training is mandatory for observers appointed by their political party. However, the training is also open to the public.
