Federal law, through the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) and the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act (MOVE), provides specific supports and accommodations to military and overseas voters. We send ballots to confirmed military and overseas voters 30 days (for special elections) to 45 days (for primary and general elections) prior to the election date. If your address or name changes, you can update your registration information:

You can receive and return your ballot electronically. You will need the internet and a printer so you can print and sign the declaration before returning the ballot.
Receiving an electronic ballot
You have two options for receiving an electronic ballot:
Returning your electronic ballot
To return your ballot electronically, print the ballot, sign and date the declaration. Send your signed declaration, privacy sheet (optional) and voted ballot by email to eballot@co.thurston.wa.us or by fax to 360.705.3518.
Your electronic ballot is due in our office by 8:00pm PT on Election Day. You don't need to mail the paper ballot if you're returning your ballot electronically.
