Energize Thurston makes it easier and more affordable for Thurston County households to install electric heat pump heating, cooling, and water heating systems. The program provides program-exclusive discounts, instant rebates, and customer support to help residents save energy and make their homes more efficient and comfortable. 

Energize Thurston was developed as a priority regional initiative of the Thurston Climate Mitigation Collaborative and is supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act.

 

2025 Campaign Highlights

  • 227 total installations of heat pump space conditioning and water heating systems
  • 176 fully or partially subsidized installations for low- and moderate-income households
  • 521 residents engaged through the campaign’s educational workshop series
  • 145 households gained access to cooling through a heat pump space conditioning system
  • 115 households converted from fossil fuels to all-electric heat pump space conditioning systems
