Data Dashboard
Explore the Prosecuting Attorney’s Data Dashboard
The Commons Data Dashboard is a new tool created by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (PAO) through a Department of Justice grant, in partnership with Measures for Justice, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to justice system transparency and accountability.
This public-facing dashboard offers insights into adult felony cases, using data from the PAO’s case management system. It provides a clearer picture of decision points, timeliness measures, and outcomes across our jurisdiction.
This project was supported by Grant No. 15PBJA-21-GG-03897-SMTP awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance. The Bureau of Justice Assistance is a component of the Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs, which also includes the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the National Institute of Justice, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the Office for Victims of Crime, and the SMART Office. Points of view or opinions in this document are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the official position or policies of the U.S. Department of Justice.

FAQs
The cases represented in the data are felony adult cases received on or after 10/1/2021.
The dashboard tracks case processing across six key areas:
- Cases Received by the Prosecutor
- Decisions After Case Review
- Types of Diversion
- How Cases End
- Sentencing Outcomes
- Case Timeliness
Each category can be filtered or grouped by the following criteria:
- Race/Ethnicity
- Sex
- Age
- County Residence
- Offense Type
- Domestic Violence or Firearm Involvement
- Arresting Agency
- Failure to Appear (FTAs)
Our office reviews all felony cases for the entire county. We only review some of the misdemeanors as most cities have municipal courts that handle their misdemeanor cases. Because of this, our misdemeanor case data does not tell the full story of the county and could be confusing or misleading to include without the municipal court data.
Use the filters to display only the specific data you want to view. The grouping feature lets you organize the data into categories, making it easier to compare based on the grouping option you select.
Our office sends data updates to Measures for Justice every three months (quarterly), and they take about three months to process the new data. With this process in place, we aim to keep the dashboard no more than six months behind the current date to support timely tracking of policy goals and emerging trends.
The case data come from our office's case management system (eProsecutor) and is entered and maintained by our staff.
The dashboard includes data starting from October 2021, and we aim to keep it updated so that the most recent data is no more than six months old.
