Public Comment on Revisions to Drinking Water Code for Thurston County Article III

Public Comment

Environmental Health is now accepting public comments related to revisions of the Thurston County Drinking Water Code – Article III. This code covers regulations for drinking water sources, including Group B public water systems and nonpublic water sources.

  • Environmental Health has revised Article III to align with updated RCWs, incorporate existing polices, and clarify local requirements.
  • The proposed draft is being shared directly with industry professionals and Group B public water system permit holders.
  • After incorporating feedback, a draft of Article III will be shared with the Thurston County Board of Health (BOH) and the public, with a public hearing.
