The goal of the translation is to provide visitors with limited English proficiency to access information on the website in other languages. The translations do not translate all types of documents, and it may not give you an exact translation all the time. Parks

Nestled between the saltwater of Puget Sound and the old-growth forests of the South Sound region, Thurston County’s parks provide a rich and accessible network of outdoor spaces. From shoreline trails and saltwater beaches to deep forest hiking and quiet nature preserves, the system is designed to serve both recreation and conservation.

Trails

Thanks to the efforts and creativity of Thurston County staff, as well as support from city, state, and federal agencies, the vision of a trail system linking urban and rural Thurston County is becoming a reality. There are 47.5 miles of recreational trail corridors, with further expansion plans pending funding availability. There are mileposts every half mile, each with a QR code that links to the trail site for closure updates and maintenance information.
