Guerin Park is nestled on the shoreline of Black Lake with over 53 acres of forest and wetland to explore.

  • 53.4 acres
  • Approximately 1,180-foot of shoreline (mostly wetlands)
  • Forested parcel on the western shore of Black Lake
  • The site is largely undeveloped, and several footpaths exist on the property. Please note, tree roots grow over the path and may present a hazard for folks with mobility concerns.
  • The main gate and gravel parking lot are available off Nels Street S.W.


Park Use Guidelines

To ensure a safe and enjoyable visit, please follow these rules:

  • Supervise children closely.
  • Stay on the paths and designated areas.
  • Be aware of uneven surfaces.
  • Leash and clean up after your pet.
  • Parks are for day use only.
  • Gates are locked at dusk.
  • Park in designated parking and remove your car before closing hours.

For the safety and comfort of all visitors, the following are not allowed in Thurston County Parks:

  • Bonfires
  • Loudspeakers
  • Fireworks
  • Firearms / Hunting
  • Livestock
  • Bounce houses
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Metal detectors
  • Smoking / Vaping of any product
