Small Public Works & Consultant Rosters

The county utilizes the services of the Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC) to notify contractors that might be interested in bidding on small public works projects. Registered contractors can submit proposals for public works projects with an estimated cost of less than $350,000. The type of contract work includes, but is not limited to, construction, alteration, repair, or improvement of:

  • Roads
  • Buildings
  • Bridges
  • Storm drain system
  • Potable water utilities
  • Sewer utilities
  • Solid waste facilities

Your company must be on the roster to be considered for the above-listed types of contract work. The county does not guarantee that a company will be selected for work and reserves the right to disqualify any application that does not meet all requirements. Contractors can request at any time to be added or removed from the roster. ​Request For Proposal/Request for Qualifications 

Public Works uses the services of Builders Exchange of Washington (BXWA) to post electronic plans, specifications, addenda, and plan holder lists for projects with an estimated cost greater than $350,000. Bidders are encouraged to "Register as a Bidder" on the website to be placed on the Bidders List and receive automatic email notifications when Thurston County Public Works posts a call for bids, requests for proposals, or requests for qualifications.
