Formal Public Hearing and BoCC Adoption of WUE Goals and WSPs

  • Date: June 3, 2025
  • Time: 3:30pm
  • Location: Thurston County Atrium Board Room - 3000 Pacific Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501
  • Purpose: Receive Public Comment on Proposed Water Use Efficiency goals, and adopt the goals along with Thurston County’s Part A Water System Plan (includes Satellite Management Agency Plan and Tamoshan Small Water System Management Plan), Part B Boston Harbor Water System Plan, and Part B Grand Mound Water System Plan.

Proposed Water Use Efficiency Goals

The WUE goals for the Boston Harbor water system for the next 10 years are as follows:

  1. Demand Side Goal: Maintain average day water system demand at or below 200 gallons-per-day per connection (gpd/conn) over the 10-year planning period.
  2. Supply Side Goal: Maintain distribution system leakage (DSL) below 10 percent of production over the 10-year planning period.

The WUE goals for the Grand Mound water system for the next 10 years are as follows:

  1. Demand Side Goal: Maintain average day residential water usage at or below 200 gpd/conn over the 10-year planning period.
  2. Supply Side Goal: Maintain DSL below 10 percent of production over the 10-year planning period.

The WUE goals for the Tamoshan water system for the next 10 years are as follows:

  1. Demand Side Goal: Maintain average day water system usage at or below 200 gpd/conn over the 10-year planning period.
  2. Supply Side Goal: Maintain DSL below 10 percent of production over the 10-year planning period.
