Thurston County, Washington

The content on the Thurston County website is currently provided in English. We are providing the β€œTranslation” for approximately 10 languages. The goal of the translation is to provide visitors with limited English proficiency to access information on the website in other languages. The translations do not translate all types of documents, and it may not give you an exact translation all the time. The translations are made through an automated process, which may not result in accurate or precise translations, particularly of technical and legal terminology.
Fix-it Fairs are free community events that bring together volunteers with fixing skills and community members with broken items. Our volunteer fixers will attempt to diagnose issues, repair, mend, or fix your items while sharing valuable repair knowledge. This event is a collaboration between Thurston County Solid Waste, City of Tenino, and Thurston Conservation District.

What to bring:
You are welcome to bring up to two items per event. Common items include clothing, textiles, small home appliances, lamps, vacuums, bicycles (minor adjustments), and small electronics. You must be able to carry your items in and out – no oversized items. Volunteer fixers will do their best to attempt repairs, but there are no guarantees. Some items are more challenging to repair, take longer than we have time for at the event, or may even break more during a repair attempt.

Liability waiver:
Please read this liability waiver in advance.

Visit ThurstonSolidWaste.org/fixit for more information. Registration is strongly encouraged.
