Thurston County facilities are now open to the public with restrictions, including maintaining physical distancing of at least six feet at all times and, per the Washington State Secretary of Health’s face covering order wearing a cloth face covering or mask. If you come to county facilities, please be prepared for potentially long wait times or lines due to distancing guidelines. We continue to encourage residents to access county services online, by phone, by email, or through the use of drop boxes located outside of county buildings.

VTL Special Enrollment & New VSTD Plan by Standard Insurance
Voluntary Life Special Enrollment

​Employees that enroll in or increase Voluntary Life (VTL) coverage before December 15, 2018 are guaranteed to be approved for up to $150,000 for employee coverage, $30,000 for spouse and $10,000 for children.

If you were previously denied voluntary life coverage under our plan, you will be required to complete a current Medical History Statement and be approved for coverage.

Voluntary Short Term Disability

​You may now purchase Voluntary Short-Term Disability (VSTD). The STD plan will replace up to 60% of your weekly income to a maximum of $1,000. This coverage lasts for up to 90 days, or when the LTD plan begins to pay, whichever is earlier.
