2025 Property Tax Notices Mailed This Week
Payments made by mail must be postmarked by Wednesday, April 30.
OLYMPIA – 2025 Property Tax notices went out in the mail to Thurston County taxpayers on Monday, February 10, 2025. Property tax amounts can now be viewed and paid through the Thurston County Treasurer’s web site at www.thurstoncountywa.gov/departments/treasurer.
Thurston County’s 2025 total property taxes assessed for all jurisdictions is $628,981,740 dollars.
Payment can be made by electronic check on the Treasurer’s web site with no additional fee. Payment by debit card has an additional 1.0% transaction fee (minimum $2.00) or pay by any major credit card which has an additional 2.30% transaction fee (minimum $2.00). Thurston County receives none of the transaction fee.
Taxpayers can make property tax payments online, by mail, over the phone, or at the parking lot drop box – located outside our office location of 3000 Pacific Ave SE, Olympia WA 98501. Payments may also be made in person, but the same transaction fees apply as described above for payments made in person or over the phone.
Our office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Payments made by mail must be postmarked by the due date. As required by Washington State law, late fees will be charged for those who do not have their payments in on time.
The Treasurer’s Office would like to remind property owners you can sign up to receive property tax bills electronically. This is an opt-in service that requires the taxpayer to create an account online. This account also has the option to sign up for automatic payments, so you never have to worry about missing a payment. Please visit our web site at www.thurstoncountywa.gov/departments/treasurerfor more information. Taxpayers who wish to continue receiving a paper bill in the mail do not need to do anything.
