Thurston County Encourages Residents and Businesses to Report Storm Damage from December 2025 Severe Weather

OLYMPIA – Thurston County Emergency Management is asking residents and businesses to report any damage sustained during the December 2025 severe storm systems that impacted much of Washington State.

Community members who experienced storm-related impacts, including flooding or wind damage, are encouraged to submit a report, even if the damage appears minor. Comprehensive reporting helps ensure an accurate understanding of storm impacts across Thurston County.

While impacts in Thurston County were less severe than in some neighboring counties, collecting detailed local damage information remains critical. These reports support countywide damage assessments and provide essential data to the State of Washington and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) should state or federal assistance programs become available.

Submitting a damage report does not guarantee financial assistance; however, these reports contribute to the broader disaster assessment process and may play an important role in determining eligibility for future recovery resources.

Residents and business owners can report storm-related damage using Thurston County’s online reporting system at:
https://www.thurstoncountywa.gov/departments/emergency-management/emergency-information/disaster-damage-estimate-form

Those who are unable to access the online system may contact Thurston County Emergency Management for assistance. Staff are available Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to help guide residents through the reporting process. Phone: 360-867-2800
