It was a hot day, but that didn't stop our community from coming together with joy and purpose for the Resource Hub Block Party. We extend our deepest gratitude to every organization that showed up, set up, and served with so much heart. Your unwavering support was truly inspiring and provided invaluable, hands-on assistance to our community members.
It was more than just an event; it was a powerful testament to what we can achieve when we work together. TURNOUT AND NUMBER OF PEOPLE SERVED
Feedback, data, and stories from the event are still being gathered, but early service and participation numbers are in:
General Attendance and Participation
- We estimate that there were approximately 175 individuals acting as direct service providers that day.
- We saw an estimated 400+ visitors from our community, not including pets.
Some Specific Agencies
- The Lifestream Cascade Blood Bank registered 24 donors and 17 units of blood were collected. This is a record for them.
- The Metropolitan Development Council received 40 enrollments into the TRIO program.
Public Health
- Children & Vaccines: 58 children seen; 134 vaccines administered
- Community Health Assessments: 66 completed
- Safety Supplies Distributed: 10 gun lock boxes + 1 cable lock = 11 total
- Environmental Health Table: ~100 community members engaged
- Harm Reduction Table: ~150 community members engaged; 9 naloxone kits distributed (with additional distribution from other tables)
