Thurston County Clerk, Linda Myhre Enlow, Announces Closure of In-Person Services, Online Services Expanded
Olympia, WA — December 31, 2025 — The Thurston County Clerk’s Office today announced that its in-person customer service counters will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, effective January 20, 2026. This change is due to prior and current budget reductions that the office has incurred. The office is hopeful that this shift to online services will improve service efficiency, enhance accessibility, and expand digital options for the community.
Assistance to victims seeking a protection order will also be eliminated. Forms will be available for use and submittal to the Clerk’s Office for processing.
Despite the closure to walk-in services, the Clerk’s Office is fully operational online. Many services that were available in person have now been transitioned to convenient digital platforms. Access to public terminals for public document viewing will remain available from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Residents can now complete a wide range of tasks remotely, including:
- Applying for and requesting copies of court documents
- Filing documents
- Accessing public cases/documents
- Making payments
- Scheduling appointments
Our goal is to ensure that residents continue to receive timely, reliable service. By expanding online options, we are making it hopefully easier for the public to conduct essential business from home or work, without the need to visit our office in person.
The Clerk’s Office encourages residents to visit our website for access to all available online services, updates, instructions, and contact information. The office remains available by email (TCClerk@co.thurston.wa.us) during regular business hours to assist with questions and guide residents through digital processes.
The Clerk’s Office appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation during this difficult time and remains committed to maintaining high-quality, accessible service for all.
