Thurston County government offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. All offices will reopen for regular business Wednesday, July 5. 

Thurston County Public Health and Social Services is reporting a toxic algae bloom at Lake Lawrence. Lab results show toxin levels of Microcystins at the sample site at Lake Lawrence are 28 ug/L and Anatoxins <MDL.

The Thurston County Board of County Commissioners will enact a summer recess and no board briefings or regular meetings will occur from Monday, June 26 through Friday, July 14, 2023.

The Thurston Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing June 20, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., or soon thereafter, to accept public comment on the Terry Open Space Tax Program application.
