How to observe the election process

Our paramount duty is to run transparent, accessible, fair and accurate elections. We want you to vote with confidence in the security of your ballot. You are invited to observe our Ballot Processing Center where you can see how ballots are processed. As an observer, you will be able to ask us questions about what you are seeing and witness the path of the ballot’s journey firsthand. Anyone can observe the entire election process.

Call 360.786.5408 or email elections@co.thurston.wa.us if you would like to watch how your ballot is processed.

Observers are appointed by political parties. Non-affiliated observers are also welcome, based on space and staff availability. Training is required.
