Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program - Public Notification

​Thurston County is applying to the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, for criminal justice funding allocated to the County. The grant, in the amount of $25,261, will be used to conduct a workload study for criminal prosecuting attorneys. The purpose of the study is to understand the time required to process various case types. This information will be used to estimate the appropriate number of Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys needed to address the current backlog of cases resulting from restrictions and court closures related to COVID-19.
