Thurston County facilities are now open to the public with restrictions, including maintaining physical distancing of at least six feet at all times and, per the Washington State Secretary of Health’s face covering order wearing a cloth face covering or mask. If you come to county facilities, please be prepared for potentially long wait times or lines due to distancing guidelines. We continue to encourage residents to access county services online, by phone, by email, or through the use of drop boxes located outside of county buildings.
The availability of remote services vary by office and department.

Internship Opportunities

The Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney's internship program enables college students to gain first-hand exposure to the criminal justice system and local law enforcement in Thurston County. Students work closely with Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys and other staff who are investigating and prosecuting criminal cases, providing support to crime victims, assisting with investigations, and analyzing pending legislation, among other tasks. Internship assignments will be based upon the student's interests, skills, and the needs of the office.

Our office has completed the candidate selection process for both undergraduate and legal internships through Fall 2019. We will be accepting applications for both undergraduate and legal internships for winter and spring of 2020, starting September 1, 2019. Thank you to all those who applied!
