Get Property Records

Property Information Report

  • Go to the Property Information Report.
  • Enter the property address or parcel number to open the info sheet. (Enter the address, and the parcel number pops up.)
  • Print the data sheet or write down what you find as you go. You'll need the zoning details later in this step.

Past Permits Issued at a Property 

Property Address Verification

  • For new construction, addressing is usually part of the building permit process, but if you need an address assigned before then, or have another address-related need go to Property addressing, change or verification.  

Property Plat Map

  • Go to the Auditor's Document Search page
  • Enter the Auditor's File number OR the book/page number and then click the Search box at the bottom of the page. 
  • Look for PLAT in the list of documents (short or old plats don't have the correct info).
  • Open the PLAT document and look for Notes on the plat that refer to type of lot drainage. (Pls note: some plats aren't recoreded or don't include lot drainage info.)
    • Find Auditor's File Number or book/page number 
      1. Open the county Permitting Map
      2. Enter the property address or parcel number in Search box and hit enter or return.
      3. Select the parcel by clicking on the Point Location that appears in the left penel of the map.
      4. Zoom in on the parcel and click on it until the outlne is highlighted and the words Parcel Boundaries and the 11-digit parcel number and property owner name appear in the left panel of the map. 
      5. Click on the bolded parcel number the top of the left-side panel: 11-digit parcel number [Parcel Boundaries] to open the legal description.
      6. Scroll down that panel to Partial Legal Decription to find the book/page number  (example: 022/101) or the 7-digit number after the BLA number (example: BLA98014 3183824)  if one is available. 
    • If you don't have an address or parcel number, you can zoom/scroll and use other known landmarks to locate the property.
      • Once located, zoom in on the parcel and repeat the bulleted items above.    

Septic Records for a Property

  • County Laserfische System - The county's own file of available septic records, documents and permits for properties in county jurisdiction. If available.
  • OnlineRME - Records Managemenet Entity has pumping reports, and other septic records, drawings, and documents from professionals who completed septic-related work for a property.

Easements, Liens, Surveys, Convenants & Other Recorded Documents for a Property

  • Visit the Auditor's Document Search page to check available property records and documents (This process is administered by Thurston County Auditor’s Office).
