Thurston County Superior Court is seeking your input

Thurston County Superior Court is committed to its vision of seeking community input to ensure public confidence in the judiciary and to reflect the diverse community needs. I hope that you will take the time to respond to the following surveys which will close on Wednesday, June 30th,  at 4 p.m.

Thurston County Superior Court plans to welcome a 9th judge in November 2021. The Governor will appoint a judge to fill this recently-created position. With the anticipated appointment of an additional judge, Superior Court is requesting that court users and members of the public respond to the linked survey to provide input as to the effective use of this additional judicial resource.

Pursuant to GR 7, below is the Thurston County Superior Court's 2021 proposal to update its local court rules. GR 7 requires at least 30 days for public comment on the proposal. The deadline to submit written public comments is Monday, June 28 at 5 p.m. PDT. Please submit any written comments to The Board of Judges will consider these public comments before it submits the proposed rule changes to the Administrative Office of the Courts on July 1, 2021. Comments received on the proposal will be regularly posted on the Court's website during the public comment period. Any comments not received in writing will not be considered.

           The following processes will be followed until further notice.  Even as the Main Campus Courthouse expands operations, there is currently no in-person civil Ex Parte available at Main Campus Courthouse (including no available in-person civil Ex Parte on Friday morning civil motions calendars).
