Effective November 21, 2022, Thurston County Superior Court will no longer require masks or other face coverings in public spaces and in courtrooms. Masks will remain available at entrances to the courthouses. People who visit courthouses are encouraged to assess their individual and household circumstances in deciding whether to wear face coverings. This change in protocol was established after consideration of input from county public health, state guidance and the current CDC low community risk level for Thurston County. Court administration will continue receiving regular updates from public health and this mask policy may be subject to change.
Superior Court, including Family and Juvenile Court are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone who visits the courthouse. To do so, the court needs everyone to cooperate with some basic rules and directions from security staff.
