The Thurston County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 16 at 7 p.m. on proposed updates to the county's Capital Facilities Plan. The public is invited to participate in informed discussion, and testimony will be accepted at the September 16 hearing. -30-
The county's Capital Facilities Plan describes the county's financial plan for building and maintaining its capital facilities for the next six years. Counties and cities in Washington are required to have six-year capital facilities, and they are required to update those plans annually.
To view the proposed updates to the Capital Facilities Plan and the supporting documents, go to www.ThurstonPlanning.org, click on the "Capital Facilities Plan Hearing" links in the "News and Links" section. Hard copies of the Capital Facilities Plan documents are also available for viewing in the Resource Stewardship Department office in Building One at the county courthouse campus.
