Thurston County Emergency Management is urging county residents and business owners to report insured and uninsured property damage resulting from the recent flood and winter storm event which took place December 1-12, 2015. The county is interested in rough cost estimates of flood and storm damages to structures and also inventory and revenue losses resulting from businesses not being able to open during the event.
The information collected will be forwarded to the Washington State Division of Emergency Management to determine if statewide damages warrant a request for federal disaster aid. Residents of both incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county should report damage to Thurston County Emergency Management at 36-867-2800 or online at www.co.thurston.wa.us/em. Damage estimates must be received by 5:00 p.m., Monday, December 28 to be included in the county's initial damage report to the state, due Monday, January 4, 2016.
