Many of the clients of the OAC do not own clothing appropriate for job interviews let alone a trial. Others are held in jail prior to trial and may not have access to anything but the clothes they were arrested in. How people are dressed has a huge impact on how we perceive and treat them. Nobody's liberty should depend on whether or not they can afford clothes that will give them a decent first impression.
In response to the need for their clients to have trial appropriate clothing, the OAC has maintained a closet of suits, shirts, and shoes for their clients. That closet is in need of help! Much of the inventory is worn and it needs to include more sizes of both men and women's clothing. The OAC is accepting new and gently used clothing to fill the closet and help provide those in need with a more favorable first impression.
