Thurston County 4-H National Youth Science Day and 4-H Club Recruitment Event
4-H is open to all youth between the ages of 5-19

Olympia - Join the Thurston County STEM 4-H Club as they take on the 2016 4-H National Youth Science Day (NYSD) Challenge. Activities will take place in conjunction with the Thurston County 4-H Recruitment Event.

4-H NYSD is the world's largest youth-led engineering design challenge, drawing nearly 100,000 participants in 2015, from all 50 states and countries around the world. This year's challenge, 'Drone Discovery,' will teach youth a wide variety of topics related to unmanned flight including flight dynamics, aircraft types, safety and regulations, remote sensing, and flight control. Join the Thurston County STEM 4-H club as they take on the 2016 NYSD Challenge.

4-H begins a new year every October 1st. Join Thurston County 4-H Clubs representing a variety of projects at the 4-H Club Member Recruitment Event. Meet Volunteer Leaders and youth participants as they share their projects and 4-H experiences. Learn how participating in 4-H helps youth build essential life skills, and help your child/teen explore untapped interests.

Date: Saturday October 1st, 2016

Time: 10am-2pm

Location: Sokolik Building, Thurston County Fairgrounds, 3054 Carpenter Road, Lacey, WA.

No Fee: Open to the public, especially those interested in joining 4-H.
