Superior Court Remodeling Entrance to Improve Security
Very little impact expected to public during construction

OLYMPIA - The Thurston County Superior Court began a remodel project yesterday, November 15, to improve security, increase space, and address some courthouse needs. The construction will take place on weekdays after 5 p.m. and on weekends and should not affect the court's ability to be open and operational during business hours, though some areas may be blocked off during construction. Construction is expected to be completed by the middle of March 2017.

The construction plan consists of:
  • Adding a court security room at the entry way door
  • Widening the screening area at the entry way doors
  • Moving the secured door to include all court administrative offices
  • Moving the jury administrator office
  • Creating two client/attorney meeting rooms
  • Moving Pretrial Services staff to a new work area
If you run into any issues during the construction period, please contact Pam Hartman Beyer (hartmap@co.thurston.wa.us), Superior Court Administrator.
