RETC Board of Directors Appointed

The Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council confirmed inaugural board members for the Regional Education and Training Center (RETC) @ Satsop. RETC @ Satsop is a subsidiary of the Workforce Development Council. "The RETC offers an adaptable, rapid response education and training network for Washington State. It is a unique collaboration between industry, labor and education that serves business with customized skill development programs. We are pleased to be a part of its early development," says Mike Kennedy, Workforce Development Council Director.

Board members were appointed in equal number from education, industry and labor. In their first meeting they adopted by-laws and selected officers. Initial start up dollars for the RETC comes from the Department of Labor WIRED initiative, designed to provide skills training for the region.

The RETC @ Satsop is located at Satsop Development Park, a 1700-acre mixed-use business and technology park located near Elma, Washington. Flexible, first-class facilities and state-of-the-art technology infrastructure of the Park’s main campus create an outstanding learning environment.
