OLYMPIA -- The Thurston County Storm & Surface Water Utility has three openings on its citizen advisory board, and interested residents are urged to apply.  Advisory board members attend monthly meetings and assist the County stormwater utility with decisions on capital facilities planning, rates, budget, annual work program, and policy proposals.  South county residents are especially needed.  Interested citizens are invited to attend the next meeting on Thursday, October 9, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, at 2404 Heritage Court SW , in West Olympia in the 2nd floor conference room.

Anyone who wishes to be considered for a position on the board should submit a resume and cover letter describing their interest, relevant experience, general affiliation and the watershed area they represent. Interested individuals must complete a Thurston County Citizen Advisory Boards/Commissions/Committee Application. The application can be downloaded from the County Web site at www.co.thurston.wa.us. Once on the web site, interested parties should click on Board of County Commissioners button, then Advisory Boards and the application is located in the upper right.

Those interested can also pick up an application at the Thurston County Courthouse, 2000 Lakeridge Drive , Building One in Olympia , Room 269.
