OLYMPIA -- Several local, private, county and state organizations are coming together to sponsor the Annual Transition Fair for parents and young adults with special needs.Thursday, March 3, 20114:00 - 7:00 p.m.Labor & Industries Building7273 Linderson Way,Tumwater, Washington
The Transition Fair provides parents and young adults with information regarding a wide range of services available in the community. While the event is aimed at providing information to parents and teens and young adults with developmental disabilities who will be graduating from high school within the next few years, any family with a child with special needs is welcome.
Representatives from approximately 25 organizations will be at the Fair to present information about available resources. There will also be three breakout sessions- "Family Preparation for Adult Services: An Overview & Timeline," "A School-to-Work Success Story," and "Alternative Funding Options for Employment Services."
