Spring Greening - Gardening/Composting/Recycling Education Day
Educational workshops and demos that encourage people to garden and reduce waste

OLYMPIA - Please join the WSU Extension Master Gardeners, Master Recycler Composters, and Master Gardener Foundation of Thurston County for a day of gardening, composting, and recycling education on Saturday, March 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Westwood Baptist Church.

What: 2nd Annual Spring Greening Education Day!
Where: Westwood Baptist Church Campus (333 Kaiser Road Northwest)
When: Saturday, March 25, 2017
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 entrance fee, cash or check only
Registration: No pre-registration, but space is limited to room capacity. Seats are filled on a first come, first served basis.

For a small entrance fee, participants will have access to a series of workshops (everything from pruning to attracting pollinators, growing veggies and composting), hallway demonstrations, activity booths, and live demonstrations. The booths will address tool care and repair, plant identification, recycling, insects, and propagation. Live demonstrations will show participants proper shrub planting and how to plant a container garden. Select plants, garden art, and recycled hand-crafts will also be for sale.
