FREE Nov. 18th Workshop for Landscapers, Property Managers, and Stormwater Contractors
Learn how to properly maintain stormwater ponds & other facilities to reach new customers
OLYMPIA – Businesses looking for ways to grow their customer base and expertise in specialized outdoor maintenance services won't want to pass up this special opportunity that will only be offered once this year.
A free half-day workshop on "How to Inspect & Maintain Stormwater Ponds & Other Facilities," will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Tumwater City Hall. The workshop is collaboratively sponsored and presented by the Cities of Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater, and Thurston County.
Classroom instruction and hands-on field examples will be provided on how to identify and correct common problems seen in stormwater systems (such as wet or dry ponds, or other stormwater features), which are constructed within housing and business developments.
Property owners are responsible for the long-term care and functioning of these features, so they want to know who they can trust to help them comply with local ordinances. Participating businesses will have the option of being added to our online list of service providers that have completed this workshop, which could be seen by thousands of local property owners and Homeowner's Associations (HOAs) looking to hire!
Space is limited, so advance registration is required. Sign up now at stormforms.org/signup or contact us at (360) 754-3355, Ext. 0, or at StormwaterUtility@co.thurston.wa.us.
