ADVISORY - Storm Drain Pipe Disconnect Causes Roof Leak at District Court
Leak causes closure of probation office, court remains open

OLYMPIA – Today, December 10, at approximately 12:00 p.m. a roof drain pipe in Thurston County District Court disconnected inside the building, causing water to leak through the ceiling. Due to the leak, the District Court probation office was closed. People who had a scheduled probation appointment for this afternoon must contact their probation officer tomorrow, December 11, to reschedule.

The storm drain pipe was reconnected at approximately 1:30 p.m. This is not a permanent fix and additional repairs will need to be made in dry weather conditions.

Those who have a case being heard by Thurston County District Court today or later this week should appear in court unless otherwise instructed.

For additional information, please contact Jennifer Creighton at (360) 786-5225.
