Commissioners to Hold Public Hearing on Renewal of Interim EHO

OLYMPIA – The Thurston County Board of Commissioners will hold a virtual public hearing on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 3 p.m. to receive public testimony on the proposed renewal of the county's interim Emergency Housing Ordinance (EHO). The EHO is the county's interim regulation related to emergency homeless encampments.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this public hearing will be conducted virtually. Those wishing to participate in the public hearing can connect at: Citizens have the option to connect to the public hearing by video conference or phone.

The EHO, adopted on June 25, 2019, provides for a waiver of some requirements for emergency homeless encampments located in unincorporated Thurston County during emergencies declared by the Board of County Commissioners or Board of Health.
