Ordinance No. 15905 adopted interim regulations to ensure the county’s flood hazard regulations meet the minimum standards of the National Flood Insurance Program. Updates were due to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Washington State by June 19, 2020 in order to continue to meet the minimum standards of the National Flood Insurance Program. RCW 36.70A.390 allows interim regulations to be adopted without a public hearing if a public hearing is held within sixty calendar (60) days after the date of adoption.
