Join Stream Team and WSU Native Plant Salvage for a FREE two-part workshop to learn how to add a lovely rain garden to your yard. The workshops will provide all the details you'll need to design and install a rain garden to help manage your home's stormwater runoff while protecting local water resources. Sessions are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, April 18 and Thursday, April 25 at the Tumwater Fire Hall on Israel Road. -30-
The first workshop will focus on developing a sizing and planting plan that is right for your home landscape. At the optional second session, participants will receive assistance reviewing draft rain garden plans they learned to create in the first workshop.

Rain Garden Reimbursement: May 15 DeadlineResidents of unincorporated Thurston County are invited to apply for a reimbursement of up to $200 for plants and/or compost used to install a rain garden. Applications are due to Thurston County Water Resources by Wednesday, May 15.
