May 16 Workshop on What to Do When Disaster Strikes in Your Neighborhood


On Thursday, May 16, Thurston County Emergency Management will host a workshop on the "Map Your Neighborhood" program to help Thurston County residents work together with their neighbors to save lives and protect property when disaster strikes.

The evening workshop is free and open to all community members. This "train-the trainer" workshop will not only give you the skills and knowledge you need to respond to emergencies, it also offers tips and techniques for getting your neighbors involved in planning and preparing long before an emergency situation occurs.
