Road Work on Bald Hills Road June 16
Repairs to eroding hillside will avoid roadway damage

Thurston County Public Works crews will make repairs to an eroding hillside along Bald Hills Road SE near Toboton Creek on Monday, June 16. Drivers in that area are reminded to use caution and slow down in the construction zone.

Some erosion was discovered earlier this week along the shoulder of Bald Hills Road SE just south of Peissner Road SE where Toboton Creek runs near the roadway. The minor repairs are expected to be completed in just one day.

Public Works crews are working quickly to avoid wet weather that could cause more hillside erosion. Right now, the erosion has not impacted the roadbed, but more hillside erosion could potentially damage the roadbed and lead to more extensive repairs and traffic impacts.
