Craig Brown, WARC Operations Manager

New Closing Time for WARC Begins July 1
Waste and Recovery Center entrance gates will close at 4:45 p.m.

Beginning Tuesday, July 1, the entrance gates at the county's Waste and Recovery Center in Lacey will close 15 minutes earlier than before.

Customers will need to enter the WARC by 4:45 p.m. in order to complete their transaction by the time the WARC closes at 5 p.m. each day. The goal is to have all customer transactions finished and have customers exit the facility on time for closing to avoid costly staff overtime.

Beginning July 1, WARC staff members will close the facility's entrance gates at 4:45 p.m. Late arriving customers will not be allowed in to use the paid disposal areas, recycle center, or HazoHouse. Access to the Hawks Prairie Park and Ride lot and to the Off-Leash Dog Park at the WARC will not be affected.

Thurston County residents are also reminded that the Waste and Recovery Center will be closed on Friday, July 4, and will re-open for regular business on Saturday, July 5.
