Stream Team Work Party at Yelm Creek Oct. 18
Volunteers needed to help restore native stream-side habitat

Join Stream Team for a chance to get a little dirty for a good cause along upper Yelm Creek on Saturday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers will participate in a long-term stream-side restoration project using natural weed control and native plants. Stream Team staff and volunteers will be preparing the site for future planting as well as helping with the maintenance of previously planted trees and shrubs. Stream Team will provide gloves, tools and refreshments.

Stream Team's mission is to "protect and enhance the water resources and associated habitats and wildlife in Thurston County through citizen action and education." Stream Team is cooperatively sponsored and funded by the storm and surface water utilities of the cities of Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater and Thurston County.
