Take the "Waste Less Food" Campaign Survey
Quick and easy online survey open until Mar. 1

As the county approaches the one year anniversary of the launch of the Waste Less Food campaign, staff from the Thurston County Solid Waste Division are marking the milestone with a survey to see how many county residents are reaping the rewards of wasting less food. Whether or not you participated in the "Waste Less Food Challenge" part of the campaign, the Thurston County Solid Waste Division wants to hear from you. The quick and easy five minute survey on the county's Waste Less Food campaign is open to all county residents through March 1.

In March of 2014, the county launched the Waste Less Food campaign to raise awareness around the issue of wasted food. Waste Less Food is designed to share information about the negative impacts of wasting food on the environment, the community, and on your wallet. Residents can see how much food they really do waste and learn easy ways to reduce that amount.

As staff plans for their 2015 efforts, your feedback on the topic of wasted food and experience (or lack of) with the campaign will help to guide that process. Whether you know a lot, a little, or nothing at all about this initiative, we want to hear from you.

You can take the short online survey by clicking on the "survey" link on the Waste Less Food program web page at www.WasteLessFood.com. While there, you can learn more about the program, sign up for the newsletter, or get information on scheduling a fun and free presentation.

For more information about the Waste Less Food campaign or the survey, contact Gabby Byrne at ByrneG@co.thurston.wa.us or call (360) 867-2284.
