February 2015 Special Election Certified by County
Feb. 10 election results now final and official

OLYMPIA, WA – The Thurston County Auditor's Office has certified the February 2015 Special Election.

Tenino School District's Proposition No. 1 passed with 57.74 percent of the vote. Yelm Community Schools' Proposition No. 1 failed with 49.95 percent of the vote. (Yelm Community Schools would have needed 60 percent to approve Proposition No. 1.)

This certification was performed by a canvassing board represented by County Commissioner Cathy Wolfe, Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Catherine Galvin and Chief Deputy Auditor Joyce Turner.

The next election in Thurston County will be held on Tuesday, April 28. Jurisdictions have until Friday, March 13 to submit a resolution to call a Special Election; a press release and notice of election will be published following the collection of any and all such resolutions.
