Join Stream Team Mar. 7 for Tree Planting Party
Volunteers needed to get dirty for a good cause at Grass Lake Meadow

Join staff from Thurston County Water Resources Division and Stream Team on Saturday, March 7 for a fun and free tree planting party in the Grass Lake Meadow area. Volunteers are needed to help plant native trees and shrubs in the wetland area that will help protect water quality and help improve wildlife habitat.

The March 7 tree planting event will be between 10 a.m. and noon, and Stream Team will provide gloves, tools and refreshments for tree-planting volunteers. The tree planting event will take place near the 2300 block of Kaiser Road NW in an area along Green Cove Creek. Staff will help direct volunteers to the tree-planting site and available parking. The tree-planting site is in the West Olympia area about one mile northwest of Grass Lake Nature Park, and about four miles southeast of The Evergreen State College campus.
