Military and Overseas Ballots Mailed for Apr. 28 Election
Remaining ballots for Tumwater special election will be mailed Apr. 8

OLYMPIA, WA – Thurston County Elections has mailed ballots to 273 military and overseas voters for the April 28 special election in the city of Tumwater. These voters will have until election day to return their ballots by mail, or deposit in one of the five open drop boxes in and near Tumwater.

This mailing, which begins 30 days prior to the special election, is done to provide the military and overseas voters with sufficient time to learn about the issue, vote and return their ballot.

Military and overseas voters who have not received a ballot by Friday, April 10 should contact the Thurston County Auditor's Office at (360) 786-5408 for a replacement ballot. Information pertaining to Proposition No. 1, Sales and Use Tax for Transportation Improvements, may be found on Tumwater's website at www.ci.tumwater.wa.us.

Ballots to all other Tumwater residents will be mailed on Wednesday, April 8.
