Thurston County Certifies April 2015 Special Election
Tumwater transportation measure passes with 68 percent yes vote

OLYMPIA, WA – The Thurston County Auditor's Office has certified the April 2015 Special Election. The City of Tumwater's Proposition No. 1 has passed with 68 percent of the vote. This certification was performed by the canvassing board represented by County Commissioner Cathy Wolfe, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jane Futterman and Auditor Mary Hall.

The next election in Thurston County will be the primary election held on Tuesday, August 4. In addition to any contested elected offices, Fire Protection Districts 5 and 9 (Black Lake and McLane) have filed resolutions to call a special election. A formal notice of election will be issued in June.
