Voter Registration Deadlines for Aug. 4 Primary Election
July deadlines to register to vote, update voter registration

OLYMPIA, WA – The Thurston County Elections Division announces the following voter registration deadlines for the August 4 primary election:


Monday, July 6:
– Last day to register online or by mail to vote
– Last day to update an existing voter registration

Monday, July 27:
– Last day to register to vote if not currently registered in Washington State. This must be done in person.

There are eight races with a total of 25 candidates that will be on the August 4 primary election ballot. Those races include: Port of Olympia Districts No. 1 and No. 3, Olympia Mayor, Olympia City Council Position No. 2, Tenino Mayor, Tenino City Council Position No. 5, Yelm City Council Position No. 6, and Centralia School District Director Position No. 2.

Maintenance and operations levies for Fire Protection Districts 5 (Black Lake) and 9 (McLane) are also on the August ballot.
